The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an experienced, full-time Physiatrist to join a highly-skilled, multidisciplinary team including 7 physiatrists and more than 100 PTs/ OTs.
Candidates must be Board-Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and have subspecialty certification in Sports Medicine with 3 5 years of experience in practice. This position will be hired to further develop the department's already impressive musculoskeletal clinics/programs in collaboration with the Departments of Orthopedic Surgery and Regenerative Medicine.
The candidate to fill this position will work primarily in outpatient clinics on the current Mayo campus and in the Sports Medicine Center to provide state-of-the-art care and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal injuries, including the use of diagnostic ultrasound, ultrasound guided peripheral joint and tendon injections, and regenerative medicine procedures when indicated. The department is seeking an individual with a strong interest in a clinical position, with teaching experience and an interest in developing/participating in research opportunities.
