The successful candidates will join a dedicated team of 16 pediatric neurologists that includes 5 pediatric epileptologists, and 15 nurse practitioners who provide services in the Hospital’s NeuroDevelopmental Science Center. The Center brings together essential pediatric specialties – Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Physiatry, along with Neuropsychology and Psychology imbedded in one physical and functional unit to deliver the best outcomes and quality of life for patients.
Nationally Ranked in Neurology and Neurosurgery by US News and World Report, Akron Children’s offers comprehensive care and advanced technology. We are equipped to provide a full array of epilepsy surgical treatment options. The hospital currently has an 8-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. A new neurosciences unit is under construction and is slated to open in 2026. The Epilepsy Program has also been recognized by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers.
