Mission or Goal of Unit: The Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) is seeking a pediatric hematologist/oncologist with an interest in benign hematology and coagulation. Children’s Hospital of Richmond of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System has committed itself to transforming the division into a model academic unit devoted to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and clinical, translational, and basic research.
Chief Purpose of this position: The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology role will provide support the division in its continuity of care for new and existing patients. The division and CHoR are part of the NCI-designated Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center. CHoR is one of 4 qualified hemophilia treatment centers in the state of Virginia, and one of two lifespan programs in the state. The QTC multidisciplinary team includes a dedicated APP, social worker, nursing and administrative support. Additionally, the division offers a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship with support for a fourth year.
