Job Description

Bristol Regional Medical Center (BRMC), a member of Ballad Health, is seeking a full-time board certified/board eligible Neurohospitalist for an inpatient-only opportunity. BRMC, a 312-bed Level 3 trauma center located in Bristol, Tennesssee, is a primary stroke center.  This role's primary location will be BRMC but will require some responsibilities at Holston Valley Medical Center (HVMC) in Kingsport, Tennessee and Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) in Johnson City, Tennessee which are each located 15 miles from Bristol.   

Ballad Health, a 21-hospital health system, covers a 29-county area and is made up of three tertiary facilities, 18 community/critical access hospitals, seven cancer centers, 18 Urgent Care locations and multiple specialty offices through its employed arm, Ballad Health Medical Associates, made up of over 800 physicians and advanced practitioners.

  • Average patient volume: 12–15 patients (including consults)

  • Physician extender (NP) support
  • This position covers inpatient stroke and general neurology, including consults in the intensive care unit, general medical floor, and the emergency room and reading routine and prolonged EEGs.
