Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hospitalist Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive inpatient care, managing a diverse patient population with various medical needs. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of hospitalized patients, developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Manage and coordinate inpatient care, including monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment as necessary.
  • Collaborate with specialists in areas such as Nephrology, Ophthalmology, and Wound Care to provide comprehensive patient management.
  • Provide support as needed, ensuring timely interventions for acute conditions.
  • Engage in health coaching and outpatient follow-up care to promote patient wellness post-discharge.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to case discussions with the healthcare team.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Provide hospice care for patients requiring end-of-life support, ensuring compassionate and dignified care.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Experience in inpatient settings; familiarity with Emergency Medicine is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of specialized areas such as Occupational Health and Ostomy Care is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with medical advancements.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect for patients and their families.
