The Bon Secours Psychiatry and Behavioral Health team is adding an Inpatient Behavioral Health / Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner to the team at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA - Part of the "757" Coastal Hampton Roads/Tidewater Region!

• Virginia License Required - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified
• Requires minimum of 2 Years of INPATIENT Behavioral Health experience
• Full time position - M-F - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• • Inpatient Adult Behavioral Health Unit coverage providing care for patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders, consults on medical floors, review of admissions from the ED and external hospitals or providers.
   
• Call coverage:
• 1:4 Weekend Rounding (1 weekend every 5 weeks) 4:00 PM Fri - 8:00 AM Mon.
• 1 to 2 week nights per week 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM
• Both include cross coverage from units and admission calls
• Practice Support: 1:8 - One RN to every 8 patients and 1:6 - One Behavioral Health tech to every 6 patients
• Great Support and Resources for you and your patients - LCSW, LPC, BSW, Art Therapist, Music Therapist, Recreation Therapist, RN Clinical Coordinators and Nurse Manager.
• Average 8-12 patients per day
• Patient ages - 18+ and approx. 70% adult, 30% geriatric
• Opportunity to mentor NP and PA students
• Mentorship available by Medical Director
