Urologist Job at Veterans Health Administration in Fayetteville, NC

The Fayetteville, NC Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a staff Urolologist & Chief of Urology to join our urology team. You will care for veterans performing routine inpatient/outpatient procedures (prostate biopsies, cystos, and TURPS). You are responsible for ensuring the provision of comprehensive urologic services and the care and administrative needs of the urologic patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.              

Departmental staffing includes: 1 Section Chief, 2 Staff Urologists and 1 PA.

Candidates' Qualifications: 1. US Citizen; 2. Board Certified in Urology.

The Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center provides healthcare services to approximately 80,000 Veterans in 19 counties within southeastern North Carolina. Our facilities include the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, two healthcare centers, one in Fayetteville and one in Wilmington, and 18 outpatient clinics.

Work Schedule: Full-time, primarily day shift, Mon-Fri 8:00 to 4:30 pm with some call

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Position eligible for up to $200,000 over 5 years with a maximum of $40K per year.

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting)
