Blessing’s Emergency Department is a Level II Trauma Center registering approximately 40,000 visits annually. The Emergency Department physicians are employees of the Hospital and reside in the community. Emergency medicine residency training and ABEM/AOBEM certification required. Emergency Department physicians work four days on and four days off for a 32-day cycle followed by eight days off. The Emergency Department is supported by attending physicians in all major specialty and sub-specialty fields. There is an onsite helicopter service. Blessing is also the Emergency Resource Hospital for five surrounding counties. The Emergency Department is a Certified Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center with door-to-cath time under 30 minutes. Income potential is above the 90th percentile.
