PRN Opportunities:

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Licensure & Certification: Active state licensure as a registered nurse; certified or recertified by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program recognized by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
- Experience: 3–5 years of anesthesia experience preferred; endoscopy experience is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems; experience with ProVation MultiCare Giver is preferred.
- Clinical Expertise: Capable of performing nurse anesthetist duties in an endoscopy setting, including operating and interpreting anesthesia equipment and tailoring care to meet patient needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to collaborate effectively with clinical staff and other disciplines.
- Interpersonal Skills: Professional and respectful interaction with team members, patients, physicians, and visitors.
- Policy Compliance: Adherence to and implementation of company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-screening evaluations via phone and chart review prior to procedures and perform/document pre-anesthesia evaluations.
- Obtain informed consent for anesthesia and manage pre-anesthetic medications and treatments.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Prepare and use equipment, monitors, and medications for sedation and anesthesia; ensure safety checks are completed.
- Administer anesthesia, manage airways, and provide cardiovascular and respiratory support as needed.
- Monitor recovery and evaluate patient responses post-anesthesia, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Deliver post-anesthesia care, including evaluations and patient support.
- Respond to emergencies, including airway management, administering medications, and performing ACLS.
- Support patient safety through adherence to safety standards and reporting risks or adverse events.
- Collaborate with clinical staff using strong communication skills and provide care tailored to patient needs.
- Maintain professionalism in interactions with team members, patients, and visitors.
- Operate anesthesia equipment and adhere to company policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to work under stress. Moderate periods of sitting and computer use. Good visual acuity. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. Ability to reach, grasp, use fine finger movement and feel sensation to discern temperature, texture, size, and shape. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time, lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds. Travel as business needs dictate.
