You will have the opportunity to work alongside seasoned emergency medicine physicians, nurse practitioners and advanced practice providers, honing your clinical judgment and enhancing your ability to navigate high-pressure situations.

Program Details:

• There are two program duration options:

• We offer two Cohorts per year.

• Cohort start dates are reflective of both the 6 month and 1-year programs.

Program Eligibility

• Candidates are required to possess and maintain the following life support certifications:

• Completion of an accredited PA or NP master’s program
• Pass the PA or NP National board examination.
• Obtain a State license and DEA for Wyoming
• Be able to successfully pass an employment background check and drug screening.
• Program eligibility requirements must be satisfied a minimum of 45 days prior to the start date.

• Didactic education
• Opportunity available at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center and Ivinson Memorial Hospital
• 30-36 hours/week of clinical education with preceptor
• 8-10 hours per week of classroom instruction
• Repetitive, hands-on education in simple and advanced procedures
• EKG interpretation course and emergency radiology course
