Pediatrics - Neurology Job at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY

Applications are invited for a full-time faculty position as a Pediatric Neurologist in the Department of Pediatrics at The Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center, part of the Albany Med Health System. Albany Medical Center, home to Albany Medical College, is the only academic medical center in northeastern New York.

The Division of Pediatric Neurology is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible pediatric neurologist to join our vigorous clinical program. Applicants with an interest in general pediatric neurology, as well as those with subspecialty training in epilepsy or neuromuscular diseases, are preferred.

The division consists of a pediatric neurologist, three nurse practitioners, three part-time attendings, a neuropsychologist, a psychologist and a social worker with excellent nursing and administrative support.

The Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital is the only children’s hospital in northeastern New York with support from a full complement of pediatric subspecialists, as well as an affiliated adult neurology department with active epilepsy, neuromuscular, vascular, and movement disorder divisions. There is also an active epilepsy surgery program with opportunities to expand into pediatrics. The successful candidate will be expected to take advantage of the many opportunities to interact with medical students and house staff within the Neurology and Pediatrics departments with an academic rank commensurate with their qualifications.
