Job Title: Dental Hygienist

Location: North Bend, OR

Pay: $42.45 - $49.78 per hour (DOE)
Shift: Day shift

Position Overview:

Waterfall Community Health Center is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team and provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, team-based dental clinic. This role is essential in delivering dental care to both insured and uninsured clients, with a strong emphasis on removing barriers to care and serving individuals facing income, language, cultural, and social challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:

  • Perform periodontal procedures in compliance with state dental board regulations.
  • Educate patients on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease and its links to overall systemic health.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including probing, charting restorations, and taking digital radiographs.
  • Use the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to create treatment plans for patients.
  • Apply dental treatments such as sealants, fluoride varnish, and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF).
  • Follow sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the dental team to schedule patients, enhance patient experiences, and ensure high practice and equipment standards.
  • Work closely with staff to support and ensure seamless operations within the clinic.

• Compliance & Education:

  • Participate in Non-violent Crisis Intervention training within six months of hire, and maintain ongoing certification.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Education & Certification:

  • Valid Dental Hygienist license compliant with the State Dental Board.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Dental Hygienist (preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with EMR systems (preferred).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
