St. Mary’s Healthcare is actively seeking a Board Certified Spinal Surgeon to join our expanding Orthopedic surgical team in Amsterdam, NY. Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of spinal disorders, including degenerative conditions, deformities, trauma, and tumors.
  • Perform advanced spinal procedures utilizing minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques to enhance precision and patient recovery.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including neurologists, pain management specialists, physical therapists, and primary care providers, to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment options, surgical procedures, and postoperative care to ensure informed decision-making and adherence to care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical research, and ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in spinal surgery.

Qualifications:

Required Credentials

  • Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery with specialized training in Spinal Surgery.
  • New York State Medical License (or eligibility to obtain).

Preferred Experience

  • Proficiency in robotic-assisted spinal surgery and other minimally invasive techniques.
  • Experience in managing complex spinal disorders and performing a high volume of spinal procedures.

Education

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Spinal Surgery Fellowship.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary Range - $751,448 - $961,832 (commensurate with experience).
