Marshall Health Network, Inc. is a West Virginia-based not-for-profit, academic health system that includes Marshall Health physician practice; four hospitals: Cabell Huntington Hospital, a 303-bed teaching hospital, St. Mary’s Medical Center, a 393-bed teaching hospital, Hoops Family Children’s Hospital, a 72-bed pediatric specialty hospital within Cabell Huntington Hospital; and Rivers Health, a 101 acute-bed hospital, and the employed physician practices of the hospitals. Cabell Huntington Hospital is a teaching hospital for Marshall University Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing, while St. Mary’s Medical Center operates St. Mary’s Schools of Nursing, Respiratory Care, and Medical Imaging.

Edwards Cancer Institute Large multi-disciplinary practice group State-of-the-Art clinic Marshall University is a major University Medical Center located in Huntington, West Virginia. The cancer program is growing and developing because it is merging the two hospitals in Huntington, Cabell Huntington Hospital and Saint Mary's Medical Center. The program offers NCI-sponsored protocols as well as some industry-supported trials. We are planning to update our gynecologic oncology brachytherapy equipment and start a radioisotope program shortly. There are multidisciplinary tumor boards in gastroenterology, sarcoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, and gynecologic oncology. The Brainlab program is used for stereotactic treatment of the brain and spine, and the Varian TrueBeamis used for our other stereotactic treatments. There is an active high-dose-rate brachytherapy program.
