Palmetto Radiation Oncology is seeking to add an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for new McLeod Cancer Center at the coast North Myrtle Beach, SC.
Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Advanced Practice Provider will assist in the implementation of the health care plan and the management of radiation oncology patients.
- Collaborate with physician on new outpatient and inpatient consultations, including reviewing oncologic history, labs, imaging, notes, and contributing to plan of care. This also includes explaining cancer staging treatment planning, clinic logistics and side effects of radiation therapy with patients.
- Prepare documentation prior to consultation, with HPI, assessment, and plan
- Prepare documentation prior to other patient visits such as follow ups and discussed with supervising physician.
- Work with other specialties, particularly in the oncology service line, to coordinate patient care regarding treatment plans or follow-up when needed.
- See patients in follow-up clinic and manage ongoing follow-up when needed, i.e. ordering and reviewing follow-up imaging and labs.
- Manage acute side effects of radiation therapy during and after radiation therapy.
- Attend tumor board meetings.

Education:
- Master's (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner)
Experience:
- Advanced practice provider: 3 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- PA-C (Preferred)
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (Preferred)
