Overview
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a full-time Family Medicine Physician in Schoharie, NY. Visa Sponsorship Available.
Description
Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated healthcare system that provides care and services to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields. More than 500 full-time salaried physicians and advanced practice clinicians who focus on patient-centered care.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Join an established group of Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians
- Traditional outpatient practice, Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
- No OB
- Generative AI Scribes are offered to all Primary Care Physicians to help decrease time and stress associated with notes
- Innovative Inbasket Ninja Program in place for Primary Care that covers inbaskets of any departed providers or providers on leave or vacation
- Fully integrated EPIC Electronic Medical Record
- A first call system is in place with a nurse practitioner/physician assistant on call for your patients.
- Salary Range: $320,000 – $374,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief in the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
- Bassett offers physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
- A residence stipend up to $45,000 is available up to 18 months prior to graduation.
- Sign-on Bonus up to $200,000
- Loan Repayment may be available through Federal and State Loan Repayment Programs.

Job Qualifications
- MD, DO or MBBS
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- NYS Licensure
- BLS, ACLS or PALS Certification Required
- DEA Required
