Erlanger Health is seeking an exceptional Internal Medicine/Family Medicine Physician to grow our new surgery optimization clinic. An ideal candidate would be a physician with a solid primary care base who is interested in pre-operative medicine. The right candidate will be willing to engage in program building and take ownership.

Job Overview

This position is for our new surgery optimization clinic. Your job will be to serve as a clinical leader and program builder of the new Erlanger Surgical Optimization Clinic. Tasks will include building workflows and protocols in concert with the Anesthesia Medical Director, oversight of APPs working in the clinic with availability to discuss complex patients, seeing high-risk patients in the clinic at least 1 day per week, building relationships with and soliciting feedback from surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure needs are met, tracking quality metrics and KPIs for the clinic. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter, able to work autonomously, and willing to grow our optimization clinic.

• Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm – in person 1 day, remote the other 4
• No call
• No weekends
• You will be reporting to our hospitalist group and working closely with our Anesthesiology group.
