Neurology Job at Cleveland Clinic in South Lake Tahoe, CA

Barton Health, a member of Cleveland Clinic Connected, is seeking highly skilled and qualified general Neurologists to join its team of dedicated professionals in California. The role will involve a combination of inpatient consultation work and outpatient clinic responsibilities. The physician will split their time between providing expert consultation services within the hospital setting and managing patient care in an outpatient office located on the hospital campus. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician interested in a balanced practice that includes both inpatient and outpatient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consultation services, including EEG interpretation, and consults within ICU, medical/surgical, and orthopedic wards.
• Manage outpatient clinic responsibilities, delivering high-quality care to patients in an office setting.
• Consult on neurological concerns, with a focus on non-stroke related conditions.
• Participate in 8 call shifts per month, with the majority being telephone-based support to Hospitalist physicians and the Emergency Department.
• Maintain a 32-hour direct patient care workweek, with additional time allocated for patient communication and electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
• Collaborate with a multi-specialty medical group, Tahoe Carson Valley Medical Group, to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Strong background in inpatient consultative services, especially EEG interpretation.
• Experience with non-stroke-related neurological concerns is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage a balance of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with other healthcare professionals.
