Position Overview:

FHN Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Gynecologic Physician to join our dedicated team in Freeport, Illinois. This full-time, employed position focuses exclusively on gynecological care, with no obstetric responsibilities, no on-call duties, and no deliveries. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our gynecological surgical services within a rural healthcare setting at a fully independent, not-for-profit healthcare organization.

Position Highlights:

• Gynecology-Only Practice: Focus solely on gynecological patient care and surgeries.
• Dedicated Surgical Support: Benefit from a dedicated operating room team, including first-assist support and block scheduling to ensure efficient workflow.
• Common Procedures: Perform a variety of surgeries, including but not limited to:
• Hysterectomy
• Laparoscopy
• Dilation and Curettage
• Myomectomy
• Oophorectomy
• Salpingectomy
• Endometrial Ablation
• Pelvic Floor Reconstruction
• Colposcopy and Biopsy

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• A minimum of 5 of experience in gynecological surgery is preferred.
