Excellent Psychiatric Hospitalist Opportunity in Norwalk, Connecticut (50 miles from New York City)
Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, is seeking a full-time psychiatrist for psychiatric hospitalist work to include covering our inpatient, consult liaison, and ED consults at Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut. Norwalk is located in suburban Fairfield County about 50 miles northeast of New York City along the shore of the Long Island Sound. Our established practice has seven psychiatrists and two nurse practitioners. Our busy practice is long established with a highly collegial and supportive working environment.
The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in psychiatry. Spanish speaking a plus. This is an employed position with a highly competitive compensation package, including allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses and relocation stipend. The role will cover inpatient psychiatry services and includes supervising residents and medical students. Teaching appointments are available, working with Nuvance Health psychiatry residents and medical students from the University of Vermont, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine.
Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, Ross University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
