Mercy Health is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Neurology team in Toledo, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly collaborative and well-established Neuroscience team within the largest health system in Ohio.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Full-time, outpatient-based position with a Monday-Friday schedule
- Work alongside a team of 9 neurologists and 1-2 other outpatient neurology APPs
- Build and manage an ambulatory general neurology practice with both new and follow-up patients
- Utilize Epic EMR for seamless patient care documentation
- No call responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Ability to obtain a medical license in the state of Ohio
- Ability to obtain a DEA license with full prescriptive authority
Practice Environment:
- Work in a Neurology specialty group with a patient-centered team approach
- Part of a larger Neuroscience department, including Neurosurgery, Endovascular/Stroke, and Neurocritical Care
- The department is highly collaborative, with four outpatient access points and continued growth potential
What to Expect in This Role:
- Outpatient neurology clinic setting with a minimum of 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of administrative time per week
- See an average of 16-20 patients per day
- Strong support staff, including MAs, LPNs, and clerical personnel
- Mentorship available through experienced providers
- Opportunity to participate in resident education and neurology grand rounds
