Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in South Carolina, seeks a board-certified Urologist to serve as Division Chief at the Associate to Full Professor level. This is a dedicated Urology practice at a large teaching facility meeting a real clinical need in the community.

The Division Chief will report directly to the Chair of the Department of Surgery and be responsible for the continued growth of clinical and academic potential of the specialty. The department has state of the art facilities: da Vinci Robotic Surgical System and Artemis MRI Fusion Technology. General and plastic surgery residents rotate on the service along with medical school students and there is clearly the potential for development of a urologic surgery training program The successful candidate is committed to clinical excellence and interest in expansion of the division and associated multidisciplinary partnerships. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to teaching, leadership and research and a track record of successful team leadership.

As a teaching hospital, we train the next generation of physicians and host 31 residency and fellowship programs and a 4-year medical education program with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine–Columbia. We serve a designated Level I Emergency Trauma Center and three community hospitals and have a separate research facility. The department has a general surgery residency training program with four chief residents per year and trains medical students from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
