Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

UW Health Northern Illinois seeks an experienced neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) to join our 32 bed Level III NICU team in the Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Rockford, Illinois.

In this autonomous position, you will enjoy a collaborative practice which includes rounding to discuss and establish plan of care; performance of invasive procedures within the NNP scope of practice; attendance at high-risk deliveries, transport, and opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education.

Your clinical support includes:

  1. Team of 6 neonatologists and 6NNPs.
  2. Over a dozen pediatric sub-specialists from UW Health are located in this beautiful facility and are available for consultation and collaboration.
  3. MFM collaboration and 24 hour in house OB hospitalist

Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree from or completion of a master’s level advanced practice nurse program.
  2. Active APRN license in State of IL and active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
  3. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU.
