About Laureate

Laureate was founded in 1989 by the William K Warren Foundation and we provide a full spectrum of psychiatric services as well as research and education for the general public and professional community. We are undergoing a large facility expansion, adding 15 adult general psych beds and 15 geriatric beds for inpatient psych bringing the total of 60 general adult and 45 geriatric beds. Our current outpatient clinic has 10 physicians and 10 APPs. They have a patient service rep and a medication assistant, who help with daily tasks such as scheduling, paperwork, Rx refills, etc.

Thanks to a donation from Jean Marie Warren Family, we are developing a Center of Excellence for the treatment of Depression and Suicidality. This center will focus on treating individuals with treatment resistant depression and suicidality. The center will establish itself as an authority in depression and suicide treatment, driving treatment protocols for the health system. This allows Warren Clinic primary care providers to treat patients with mild to moderate depression with support from our psychiatry team, ensuring that patients receive the right care at the right time and place.

As part of the Center of Excellence, we are establishing our first psychiatric urgent care. We have recently launched a Spravato Clinic, offering this treatment for patients with treatment resistant depression. We look forward to expanding this offering throughout the health system. We are developing a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Clinic for individuals with treatment resistent depression, with plans to explore additional indications in the future. We currently offer Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) at Saint Francis Hospital for both outpatient and inpatient care.
