Grady Health System seeks compassionate and skilled physicians for new Flat Shoals Outpatient Center opening Fall 2025. As a physician at our Flat Shoals Outpatient Center, you will serve as a key provider within Grady Health System, offering primary care services as part of the Grady Clinic. You will play an essential role in delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals in the community.
SUMMARY
The role of the Grady Primary Care Physician is to ensure high quality, safe, timely, patient centered, team based patient care in accordance with the mission and vision of Grady Health System.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Arrives timely to the clinic prior to first scheduled appointment; completes charts and forms in a timely manner, actively monitors in-basket messages.
- Identifies clinical issues for quality improvement/process improvement.
- Work with the care coordination team to provide proactive management of the patient panel.
- Serves as individual care team leader, participating in morning huddles and afternoon de-briefs.
- Utilizes evidence-based decision-making process to diagnose and treat patients. Practices AIDET and takes personal responsibility for patient engagement.
- Provides timely and effective responses to patient complaints.
- Works with the Medical Director, Practice Administrator (PA), and Nurse Supervisors (NS) to improve processes and procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining and enhancing competency in clinical knowledge. Participates in the education of medical students, allied health students, and residents if applicable.
- Attends monthly department and clinic meetings. Attends mandatory division meetings.
- Maintains active privileges on Grady Health System Medical Staff and timely completion of required administrative paperwork.
- Ensures provision of safe, high quality, proactive, comprehensive, culturally competent medical care of patient panel.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Doctorate of Medicine (MD or DO) is required.
- Completion of primary care residency program.
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Primary Care Physician preferred,
- Must be licensed by the state of Georgia without restriction to practice medicine.
- Board eligible or certified in a Primary Care Specialty of internal medicine, family medicine or preventive medicine.
- Must become Board Certified within one year of employment.
