As the Associate Market Clinical Director for the Shockoe Bottom Market, you’ll be at the forefront of driving clinical excellence while mentoring and inspiring a team of Medical Directors. You’ll lead the charge in delivering outstanding clinical outcomes while overseeing the success of multiple centers in your market. In this dual-role, you’ll balance your time between leadership responsibilities and hands-on patient care as a Primary Care Physician (PCP), making a real difference in the lives of patients.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead & Inspire: Take the reins in managing clinical outcomes, ensuring your centers exceed both performance and financial goals. Be a leader, coach, and mentor to Medical Directors and physicians, helping them grow and succeed in their roles.

• Mentor & Develop Talent: Drive the growth and development of your clinical team—Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Medical Directors—through coaching, shadowing, and leadership development programs.

• Create a Positive Culture: Shape and foster a physician culture that aligns with ChenMed’s core values. Be an ambassador of our mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care to our patients.

• Recruit & Build Relationships: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to recruit top talent. Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including payers, specialists, and local hospitals, while growing our presence in the community and on social media.

• Clinical Innovation & Performance: Collaborate with the Clinical Center of Excellence (COE) to ensure best practices and clinical training are being implemented. Support market quality initiatives and lead monthly performance reviews to ensure clinical goals are met.

• Drive Results: Contribute to market strategy and cost reduction efforts, always keeping the focus on improving clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

• Care for Patients: Spend a portion of your time directly caring for patients as a PCP, providing high-quality, patient-centered care that improves lives and outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a similar specialty.

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, with 3+ years preferred. Experience as a Medical Director or in a leadership role within a Medicare or Medicaid population is a plus.

• Certification: Board eligibility or certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty.

• Licensing: Current, active medical license to practice in the state of employment.
