Kistler Family Medicine Residency program is seeking an experienced board-certified Family Medicine physician as Program Director at Geisinger Primary Care South Wilkes-Barre, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Located in Wilkes Barre, PA you are just 2 hours away from either Philadelphia or New York City.
Job Duties:
Each year, six family medicine residents are trained under the supervision and direction of the Family Medicine Residency Program Director. The residents work in the Geisinger Primary Care South Wilkes-Barre clinic and rotate throughout Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, which is ranked #9 in the Fortune/Merative Top100 Teaching Hospitals.
The Program Director is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation, and the general administration of the Family Medicine Residency Program sponsored by Geisinger Health System. The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of the Family Medicine Residency Program. The Program Director is expected to integrate the Family Medicine Residency Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice and graduate medical education.
