The Family Nurse Practitioner provides direct care of patients in the primary care setting. Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultations, and health education within the scope of expertise and agreed-upon protocols. Refers to preceptors if the health status of a patient is beyond their scope of practice. Assists in providing PI reports to improve the quality of patient care. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or the Medical Director.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.
- Master’s Degree in nursing preferred. Five years of clinical nursing experience required.
- One-year clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner with focus in primary care preferred.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Must be flexible as to the changing needs of the center.
- Must maintain prescriptive authority recognition.
- Must have the ability to work as a team player at all times.
- Current CPR certification required.
