West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Ophthalmology seek a Pediatric Ophthalmologist qualified for appointment to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Pediatric Ophthalmology and adult strabismus. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
At the WVU Eye Institute and WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital you will join our two full-time and two part-time pediatric ophthalmologists, our pediatric optometrist, and our orthoptist in treating a diverse population of pediatric and adult strabismus patients and have exposure to clinically challenging cases. Our state-of-the art facility houses all subspecialties of ophthalmology as well as an active research program. This University-based practice is rapidly expanding with a vast patient population offering the opportunity to be busy quickly.
The WVU Health System Board of Directors approved funding to construct a new 150,000 square foot facility that will allow the WVU Eye Institute to better meet the needs of patients which will include 102 exam rooms, 44 testing rooms, and surgical suites.
