The Department of Community Health and Family Medicine (CHFM) is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to serve as the Medical Director for UF Health Eastside Urgent Care Center and UF Health Family Medicine Cornerstone Practice (an adjacent primary care clinic). This full-time, non-tenure accruing position offers the opportunity to lead transformative healthcare efforts for East Gainesville through a collaborative initiative involving the University of Florida, the City of Gainesville, and Alachua County.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical:
- Provide direct care to patients of all ages in both urgent and primary care settings
- Supervise and collaborate with ARNPs and PAs
- Promote team-based, patient-centered care
- Engage in initiatives to improve health equity and community well-being
Medical Director:
- Lead clinic operations and provider teams
- Oversee clinical workflows and quality standards
- Collaborate with administrative leadership to optimize processes and budgets
- Serve as a liaison between the clinic and department leadership
- Support billing, compliance, and process improvements
UF Health Urgent Care Center Highlights:
- 10,000 sq. ft. modern facility offering urgent care, primary care, lab, and imaging
- Anticipated annual volume: 12,000–15,000 urgent care visits; 3,200 primary care visits
- Integrated care model includes referrals to Family Medicine clinics, the Mobile Outreach Clinic, and the Equal Access Clinic

Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. with board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Florida
- Experience in full-scope primary care across all ages
- Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records
