Job Description

Sanford Health Birth Center in Fargo, ND is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join their team of 12 Ob/GYN's, 3 Certified Nurse Midwives and 3 Inpatient Advanced Practice Providers.


  1. Full-Scope Midwifery Practice: Provide comprehensive care including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic services.
  2. Collaborative Role: Partner closely with our OB/GYN team to support:
    1. Postpartum care for all OB patients
    2. Initial triage of all patients presenting to the Family Birth Center
  3. Predictable Weekly Schedule:
    1. 1-2 days of outpatient clinic (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
    2. 1 dedicated 24-hour inpatient shift per week
  4. Call Commitment:
    1. Light call rotation (approximately 2–4 shifts/month)
    2. Call is for CNM patients only – no cross-coverage
