Anesthesiology Program Director Needed in Central California

Job Description

Opportunity

The Graduate Medical Education at Kaweah Health is currently recruiting for a Program Director to lead our Anesthesiology Residency Program.

  • $50,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • $100,000 Student Loan Assistance
  • Up to $15,000 Relocation Assistance

This program is supported by over 16 anesthesiologists with specialties in regional, pain, and cardiothoracic anesthesiology. This program aims to grow well-qualified, compassionate physicians who are willing to add value to the local community. We are seeking an experienced educator who wants to join our vibrant and growing GME community. Kaweah Health has a transitional year, emergency medicine, family medicine, surgery, and psychiatry residencies (and a psychiatry fellowship program) on campus. The Health Center has a modest but active research department, a supportive and active wellness committee, library resources, and a fully functioning simulation lab. The GME has relationships with USC, UC Irvine, and Valley Children’s Hospital.

The community setting gives our hospital and program a small-town feel where collegiality between specialties is prized over competition. The young nature of the program means there is a great deal of flexibility and opportunity for change. A strong and enthusiastic leader will find this an exciting opportunity to make real change with few of the barriers encountered in larger academic settings. Graduates have matched into prestigious fellowships from USC to Johns Hopkins as well as joining private practices in the Central Valley.
