Overview: SIH is seeking a seasoned Physiatrist Medical Director to lead our 29-bed PM&R Department in Herrin, IL. This role offers a unique opportunity to utilize both administrative and medical expertise to oversee our inpatient rehab unit and contribute to the development of an outpatient therapy clinic.

  Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs): Provide guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Physician Leadership: Take the lead on CMS rules and regulations, ensuring compliance and excellence in patient care.
• Outpatient Physiatry Clinic Development: Play a pivotal role in building and expanding our outpatient Physiatry clinic.
• Mentorship: Mentor and support physiatrists, fostering professional growth and development.
• Interdepartmental Relations: Build strong relationships between nursing and therapy teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Admissions and Discharge Expertise: Utilize your expertise to streamline the admissions and discharge processes.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified Physiatrist with extensive experience in PM&R.
• Proven leadership skills in a medical setting.
• Strong knowledge of CMS rules and regulations.
• Experience in developing outpatient Physiatry clinics is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
