For more than 40 years, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) has built a national reputation for excellence. Today we have over 250 physicians, 220 nurse practitioners and physician assistants and nearly 100 locations in our statewide network. Utilizing innovative clinical research, cutting-edge technologies and advanced treatments, we are committed to providing world-class cancer care.
Across our network, FCS provides the newest cancer therapies, some not yet available elsewhere, through convenient access to clinical trials. FCS offers patients access to more clinical trials than any private oncology practice in Florida. In recent years, the majority of new cancer drugs approved for use in the U.S. were studied in clinical trials with FCS participation prior to approval. Through our partnership with Sarah Cannon Research Institute, we offer early-phase clinical trials at three Drug Development Units (DDUs)– one in Sarasota and two in Central Florida. At any point in time, more than 150 active clinical trials are underway at FCS.

HIGHLIGHTS
Our Hudson clinic is seeking a board-certified/eligible medical oncologist and hematologist to join our team, including an on-site radiation oncologist! The medical oncology and hematology experts at our Hudson Clinic specialize in treating early and advanced cancers, blood disorders, leukemias and lymphomas with personalized therapies driven by innovative clinical research. FCS experts blend compassionate care, with cutting-edge technologies, genomic based treatments, and immunotherapy to bring Florida’s top cancer treatment options to west central Florida.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- This is an excellent full-time opportunity for a team-oriented, fellowship-trained general medical oncologist and hematologist to join a dynamic team committed to providing superior patient and community-centered care.
- Candidate responsibilities include outpatient clinics, chemotherapy supervision, inpatient and consultation services in the management of malignant cancers and benign hematology diagnoses.
- Physicians have opportunities to participate in research and clinical trials.
- Rotating/rounding call is required.

REQUIREMENTS
- Full, unrestricted Florida MD/DO License
- BC/BE in hematology/oncology
