The GV Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center is seeking a dynamic Interventional Cardiologist to provide exceptional care to our nation’s Veterans. This full-time position offers the opportunity to worj with a talented team of cardiologists and contribute to advancing cardiovascular care in a compassionate, mission-driven environment.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Salary range: $300,000 - $400,000 per year
- Location: Jackson, Mississippi
- Position eligible for EDRP (Education Debt Reduction Program), offering up to $200,000 in student loan reimbursement for qualified candidates.
- Full-Time Monday - Friday 07:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services.
- Perform standard diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology procedures temporary pacing and permanent device (Pacemakers, Loop recorders, AICD and bi-ventricular devices) implantation, direct current cardioversions, electrocardiogram interpretation, Holter monitor and ambulatory rhythm interpretation.
- Serves as academic faculty for cardiovascular fellowship training program.
- Provides medical consultative services and chart review for quality assurance purposes or risk management.
- Perform other duties as assigned within their scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- Board certified at least once in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology.
- Strong commitment to serving Veterans and improving healthcare outcomes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
