Job Description

The Opportunity:

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC), a leading healthcare provider in Kentucky and one of the 100 Greatest Community Hospitals in America is looking to expand our rheumatology program.

We are seeking a physician to join our Rheumatology Clinic in providing services for patient care in a six-county service area. Recruitment of a physician is due to a strong community need and to support the hospital's medical staff. Ephraim McDowell Health Resources administration is very supportive of this recruitment effort and the growth in this specialty.

The physician can expect to work a 40-hour week in an out-patient clinic setting, building a busy practice quickly. Our goal is to provide complete rheumatology treatment close to home. 

The Candidate:

  1. Experienced, Board Certified/Board Eligible

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a Three Year Employed Agreement with Ephraim McDowell Health Resources:

  • Year One and Year Two: Guaranteed Salary based on local market conditions and eligible for productivity
  • Year Three: Base plus wRVU productivity based on local market conditions.
  • Health Insurance- two options for health insurance coverage (begins immediately)
  • Paid Time Off - 8 hours accrued per pay period (begins immediately)
  • Sick Time Off 6 hours accrued per pay period (begins 90 days after hire)

  • Continuing medical education allowance annually. In addition, 5 days of CME time are allotted without impacting paid time off.
