Job Description

Are you an experienced and compassionate physician looking to make a difference in the lives of our Veterans? The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, is seeking a dedicated Interventional Radiologist to join our esteemed team. This is a full-time position focused on providing top-quality care to our Veteran patients in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform vascular and interventional radiological procedures meeting national standards.
  • Assure quality and patient-centric procedural indications and follow-ups.
  • Participate in on-call physician coverage for vascular and interventional radiology.
  • Engage in quality assurance, performance improvement, and educational activities.
  • Support clinical operations, mission, values, and the goals of the VA Health Care System.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM
  • May require rotation of evenings, weekends, and on-call duties

About Our Facility:

The John D. Dingell VA Medical Center is a key member of the Detroit Medical Center complex, affiliated with the Wayne State University School of Medicine. We are currently installing new, state-of-the-art medical imaging systems, including:

  • 3T PET-MRI
  • 3T wide-bore MRI
  • Dual-source multidetector CT
  • XR systems
  • 2 Fluoroscopy systems
  • Angiography suite

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens may be appointed when qualified citizens are not available.
  • Possession of 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
  • Strong communication and collegial interaction skills.
  • Dedication to patient-centered care and corporate citizenship.
