Program details:
• Strong institutional and community support for our program which embraces a multidisciplinary approach.
• Collaborate closely with a team of advanced practice providers, specialists in cardiac electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging, and cardiothoracic surgery.
• Gain the opportunity to work with a team offering expertise in cardiomyopathies including hypertrophic and infiltrative disorders.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for heart transplant and VAD patients, in collaboration with regional academic cardiac surgical centers in the Northeast.
• Support and contribute to a growing, well-established program that is committed to providing innovative, patient-centered care to heart failure patients.
Qualifications:
• MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Clinically oriented with sufficient research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment.
• Formal training in advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation, or equivalent clinical practice experience is desired.
• Leadership qualities and assets are highly valued.
• Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Passion for providing high-quality care to heart failure patients and advancing the field of cardiology.
• Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers.
• Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York.
Competitive salary range with incentive bonus opportunity $325,000-$400,000.
