Backfill CRNAs for Chinle, AZ
THE SHORT: Need a CRNA to backfill our contract in Chinle, AZ. | $285.60/hr | any state license
THE LONG: We’ve had an exclusive Government contract for CRNAs at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) in Chinle, AZ since Apr 2023.
There are a couple of hotels in the schedule that need to be filled.

LOCATION: Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) in Chinle, AZ. This is for the Indian Health Service (IHS).
DATES (note: the facility prefers someone who can do more than 2 time blocks. Ideally, all if desired. It would be easy to come back whenever they have the need)

COMPENSATION:
- $285.60/hr. all inclusive, 1099
- Weeknight On-call (3:30 PM – 7:00 AM): $694.40 / shift
- Weekend/Holiday On-call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM): $1209.60 / shift
- Call-back: $285.60/hr. (paid on top of the shift pay)
- We cover Med Mal (claims made + tail)
SCHEDULE: M-F, 7a-3:30p with rotating call
REQUIREMENTS:
- Any unrestricted state license
- DEA with schedule II-V
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- No lapse in practice > 6 months leading up to work at Chinle
- No loss or suspension of licensure
- No history of drug abuse (ETOH, narcotics, etc.)
- Any lawsuits or board actions, please enumerate.
- Able to pass background check as part of their security process
SPECIFICS ABOUT THE HOSPITAL and DEPT:
- Types of cases: Bread & Butter, OBGYN, hands, and dental
- Acuity level of cases: Mostly healthy
- Call rotation/schedule: 1 in 3-5 (depending on staffing)
- Call-back: 15 min (plenty of time from hotel)
- Call-back historical rates: “very light”
- Post-call day off: No
- Supervision of CRNAs: No
- Number of CRNAs and Physician Anesthesiologists scheduled each day: 3
- Number or ORs: 2
- Average cases per day: 5
- Average cases per month: 58
- Average OB deliveries per year: 900

GENERAL INFO ABOUT THE HOSPITAL: CCHCF is a Navajo Area Indian Health Service (NAIHS) facility based in Chinle, Arizona (Northeast Arizona near Canyon De Chelly National Monument). The CCHCF is a 60-bed hospital which serves as the health care hub for the region, providing medical care for approximately 35,000 Navajo. Serving a rural area, many of their patients travel 100 miles round trip to receive care and do not have electricity or running water in their homes. In addition, most of their elderly patients speak only Navajo, and live according to traditional Navajo cultural practices. Strong Navajo cultural traditions exist within the community, offering an opportunity to learn the Navajo language, and/or to learn about traditional Navajo medicine.
ABOUT THE AREA: CCHF is located on the Colorado Plateau with excellent opportunities for photography, hiking, running, road biking, cross country skiing, and mountain biking. Canyon de Chelly National Monument (the attached pic) is within 5 miles of the hospital and is a wonderful place for exploring and sightseeing, running, and mountain biking.
