Job Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking physician candidates for a faculty position in the Division of Urogynecology. The Division of Urogynecology offers extensive exposure to managing complex benign pelvic surgery beyond incontinence and prolapse, including treating a spectrum of pelvic floor disorders, including urogenital fistula, congenital anomalies, and participate in multispecialty complex abdominal-pelvic surgery. Specialists from obstetrics, gastroenterology, urology, neurology, colorectal surgery, plastic surgery and physical medicine and rehabilitation combine to form a comprehensive team for patient evaluation and management. The division consists of 5 Urogynecologic surgeons and 2 advanced practice providers.

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology consists of over 50 board-certified physicians providing care to a rich patient mix involving regional, national, and international patients. All OBGYN specialties are represented in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The department also supports 20 residents and 18 fellows through one AAGL and four ACGME accredited training programs, including an ACGME accredited fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.

  Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited URPS fellowship and be board-certified/eligible in OB/GYN and URPS
  • Successful candidates will be strongly engaged in the clinical practice and have opportunities to progress in academic rank through supported scholarly activity.
  • URPS surgeon with advanced laparoscopic/robotic skills desired
  • Desire to augment the academic practice and have attained the academic rank of Assistant Professor
