Services
24/7: x-ray, lab, CT in house
M-F 7:30a – 5p: ultrasound
Respiratory Therapy available in-house twelve hours/day and on-call overnight
Physical Therapy 8 hrs/day
Rounding in am NLT 8, Informal evening rounds with night staff prior to turning in
Interdisciplinary Team Meeting every morning.
Duties:
Admitting patients from the ED
Rounding and caring for the entirety of the inpatient service
Responding to all codes and rapid responses
Attending meetings while on shift
Leading interdisciplinary team meetings
Understanding utility of Swing Bed program and champion this program for hospital
Staying within town limits while on-shift (Maximum response time to hospital is 20 minutes)

There is no MRI
There are no OR, OB, or ICU specialists in Jerome
ICU and IMCU are transferred to St Luke’s Magic Valley (MV) in Twin Falls about 20 minutes away.
There is a very close relationship with MV for any specialty consultations or transfers that are needed.
Acuity: Without ICU, acuity is limited to patients able to be stabilized in the ED and managed on med/surg nursing floor
Subspecialty Support: No specialty support in the hospital.

Experience + Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience practicing autonomously
Training and experience in the inpatient setting
Ability to perform all procedures
Active ID License or the ability to obtain
