Job Title: Orthodontic Assistant
Job Type: Regular Full-Time (30–40 hrs/week)
Location: Albany, NY + Delmar, Latham, East Greenbush, Clifton Park (Must be able to commute to all locations)
Salary: $22.00 – $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000–$15,000 (50% paid upon hire, 50% paid after 6 months, based on NY DA licensure status)

About the Role:

We’re hiring a motivated and experienced Orthodontic Assistant to work alongside our Orthodontists in delivering exceptional care to patients. This is a dynamic, patient-facing role that includes assisting chairside during procedures, taking x-rays and scans, and educating patients and families on orthodontic care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and seat patients for procedures

• Assist Orthodontist with procedures and complete chairside tasks

• Review patient notes and prep instruments in advance

• Take Panorex, Cephalometric X-rays, and intraoral scans

• Provide care instructions, oral hygiene education, and diet guidelines

• Create a comfortable environment for patients and parents

• Communicate patient needs to appropriate team members

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of an accredited Orthodontic Assistant program

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• NYS Dental Assisting License (or ability to obtain within 1 year)

• 3+ years of experience in Orthodontic Assisting

• Familiarity with Cloud9 orthodontic software

• Certified Dental Assistant credential per NYS Dentistry guidelines

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 7:55 AM – 5:00 PM

• Full-time, 30–40 hours per week

• Must be flexible to work at any of our 5 Capital Region locations
