Position: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery & Neuro Interventional Radiology
Location: Phoenix and North Scottsdale, Arizona

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly capable and autonomous Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP-C, AGACNP, or FNP) to join our collaborative Neurosurgery and Neurointerventional Radiology (NIR) team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a high-acuity, fast-paced position with responsibilities spanning first-assist in the OR, inpatient management (including ICU), outpatient care at our clinic in North Scottsdale, and neurovascular procedural support.
This role is ideal for experienced advanced practice providers who are looking to work at the forefront of neuroscience and neurovascular care at one of Arizona’s busiest Comprehensive Stroke Centers and Level I Trauma Centers. You will work alongside a nationally recognized team of neurosurgeons and neurointerventional radiologists on complex cranial, spine, and endovascular cases.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in neurosurgery, neurocritical care, neuro-interventional radiology, stroke care, or another high-acuity surgical specialty.
- Prior first assist experience in cranial and/or spine surgery is strongly preferred.
- Experience with acute stroke workflows or neurovascular pathology is a plus.
- Licensed (or eligible) in Arizona as a PA or NP.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage high-acuity cases, and thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent clinical judgment, adaptability, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- First assist in open cranial and spine surgeries.
- Assist with endovascular procedures, including post-procedural and ICU care.
- Manage inpatient rounds, consults, and perioperative care.
- Provide care in an outpatient clinic (new consults, pre/post-op visits, long-term follow-up).
- Participate in weekend rotations, call coverage, and respond to urgent consults and neurovascular emergencies.
- Collaborate with neurosurgeons, neuro-interventionalists, intensivists, and ER teams in a high-performing hospital environment.
