Job Description

The Gainesville VA is looking for a physician to serve as a Primary Care Provider for the   Palatka Community Based Outpatient Clinic, located in Palatka, FL . The Primary Care Physician's primary responsibility is to provide primary care services for a panel of 1200+ patients.

 

The Physician (Primary Care) duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide primary care services for a panel of 1200+ patients.
  • Perform exams according to performance measure guidelines.
  • Perform procedures and document notes according to policy procedure utilizing Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS).
  • Screening outpatients to determine need for further care.
  • Ordering diagnostic studies.
  • Carrying out health promotion and disease prevention activities.
  • Initiating and expediting requests for consultations and scheduling special tests, consults and studies.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.
  • Typically work 10 hour shifts but will not work less than 80 hours during a two-week pay period.
  • Reports directly to the clinic Chief Medical Officer.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday; 7:00am - 5:30pm


Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): Eligible Participants may receive up to $200,000 towards a qualified loan over a 5-year period (Not to exceed $40,000 per year) EDRP is a reimbursement program. At the end of each program year or service period, participants must provide proof of payment to lenders to receive reimbursement.

Preferred Experience: Completion of Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Board Certification is preferred.
