Job Description

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary and Critical Care Educational Leader to join our staff.

Position Highlights -

Opportunity to lead our Critical Care Fellowship, which consists of 8 Fellows (4/year) at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, the region’s only level 1 trauma center and major referral care center.
Baystate Medical Center is a 716-bed independent academic medical center with 33 residency and fellowship programs and is also a teaching site of the UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate.
Work collaboratively within our growing department of Pulmonary and Critical Care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications: ABMS BC in Pulmonary and Critical Care; 5 years’ experience with evidence of progressive management responsibilities and leadership in an academic department. Demonstrable record of collaboration, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enthusiasm for medical education and mentoring junior faculty members and ability to engage a broad base of potential stakeholders to work towards a shared vision. The Department of Medicine greatly values teamwork, collegiality, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Leadership training is provided and encouraged.
