Position Overview:
Join a dynamic and dedicated team of pediatric infectious diseases specialists at Marshall Pediatrics. We are seeking a third faculty member to join our division and serve as Section Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. The position includes providing exceptional inpatient care at Hoops Family Children's Hospital (HFCH)—a 72-bed pediatric specialty hospital within Cabell Huntington Hospital—and outpatient care at our Marshall Pediatrics facilities.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive inpatient care at HFCH and outpatient ID consultations in our Marshall Pediatrics clinics.
  • Serve as Section Chief, helping lead strategic growth, faculty development, and collaboration across hospital departments.
  • Participate in the education of pediatric residents, NICU and hospitalist fellows, and medical students through MU-JCESOM.
  • Address diverse and rewarding pathology across the Tri-State area (WV, OH, KY) with a balanced clinical load.
  • Pursue academic interests in research, advocacy, quality improvement, or administration, supported by the department.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
  • Demonstrated or aspiring leadership capabilities; prior experience as a section chief or division lead is helpful but not required.
  • Passion for serving a diverse, medically underserved pediatric population.
  • Dedication to academic medicine and mentoring the next generation of physicians.
