Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City is currently seeking a BC/BE transplant hepatologist for its expanding liver transplant program.
About the position:
• The liver transplant program at Saint Luke’s Hospital was established in November 2011 and achieved Medicare approval in its second year of operation; Observed patient and graft survival rates exceed expected programmatic and national percentages
• The physician will work in collaboration with an experienced team comprised of transplant hepatologists and transplant surgeons and will be involved in patient care, education, and research
• Clinical trial program is integral to this position and opportunities for basic science collaborations exist within the medical school
• Transplant Hepatologists share in the responsibility for patient selection conferences, liver transplant clinic, liver disease management, satellite clinic development, and outreach efforts
• This position will be primarily clinically oriented with research opportunities in addition to an academic appointment at University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine
