Family Medicine Physician Job at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, MI

Pine Rest is seeking an experienced Family Medicine or Med/Peds physician to join our General Medical team.

Our current Gen Med team is comprised of 4 physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers who currently cover 8 inpatient units (total 198 licensed beds), 4 partial hospital programs, and provide medical clearance for ECT. We are looking for one additional physician and two additional advanced practice providers to join the team as we plan for the opening of our new Pediatric Center for Behavioral Health.

Some highlights of this opportunity:

• 30 to 40 hours per week – Monday through Friday, flexible daily schedule
• No weekends. No Holidays.
• Work with APPs. APPs do after hours call. Physician on back up call (phone call only).
• All patients have been medically cleared for admission on unit – no feeding tubes, no IVs
• Do full review and H & P on admission and rounding on any patients that need follow up while admitted (chest pain, hypertension, read EKGs, labs…). Not every patient is seen every day by gen med provider, but they are seen daily by a psychiatrist.

Pine Rest is the third largest free-standing psychiatric hospital in the country. Pine Rest is located in Grand Rapids. The new Pediatric Center of Behavioral Health is currently under construction on our Grand Rapids campus and will open in the spring of 2026.
