Job Description

Come join our established and busy OBGYN practice with opportunities for high surgical volume using our 4 Davinci Xi Robots and a lucrative compensation including in-hospital call coverage compensation. This clinic has a strong collaboration with a physician-led hospital administration. The community feeling and collegial environment provides expert care for women in every stage of life. St. Francis is located just 25 minutes south of the Saint Paul/Minneapolis area.

Principle Responsibilities

  1. Provides direct care for obstetrics and gynecology patients in areas of general medicine, the reproductive system, pregnancy and childbirth.
  2. Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
  3. Practices in a thoughtful manner, including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities.
  4. Actively participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  5. Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.

 

Practice details:

    • 8 labor and delivery sites with 11,713 + deliveries/year

    • 45+ OB/GYNs, 28 OB/OBGYN Hospitalists, 23 CNMs, 16 MFM specialists, and 2 fetal interventionalists & 2 Urogynecologists

    • Nursing support for triage, prescription refills, initial OB intakes, in basket help

    • Pap hub for pap result management and communication for entire Allina system

    • After-hours answering service

    • Abbott Northwestern (Level IV NICU) and Mercy and United Hospitals (Level III NICUs) and six regional hospitals

    • Clinical and surgical mentorship and collaboration with over 80+ OB/GYN providers across the system

    • Work-life balance & manageable call coverage

    • Streamlined onboarding process for new provider


Job Requirements

  1. MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
  2. OBGYN BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required
  3. Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  4. Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  5. Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for credentialing and hospital privileges
  6. BLS within 180 days of hire
  7. Shakopee Clinic is conveniently located on site of St. Francis Medical Center for deliveries/surgery
  8. 5 24-hour call shifts a month
