Family Medicine Physician Job at CentraCare in St. Joseph, MN

CentraCare is hiring a full-time Family Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to work in a team-based care setting, with their own panel of patients at our St. Joseph clinic. This position is open to new graduates, one licensed to see pediatrics through geriatrics.

Responsibilities

As a provider you will see and treat patients of all ages for acute and chronic care needs. Our CentraCare – St. Joseph clinic providers diagnose and treat short-term illnesses; provide preventive care including routine checkups, health-risk assessments, immunizations and screening tests; review lab results and plan course of action accordingly; offer personalized counseling and education on maintaining a healthy lifestyle; and manage and coordinate care for those with chronic illnesses.

You will have convenient access to the following services for your patients:

• Lab
• Imaging (plain films)
• Care Coordinators
• Diabetes Education
• Social Workers

Schedule

• 1.0 FTE, Monday - Friday day clinic hours
• No evenings, weekends, holidays, or call

Requirements

To be eligible for this position you must meet the following requirements:

• Completion of a formal nurse practitioner or physician assistant program approved by a national accrediting agency
• Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant
• Current or pending licensure in the State of Minnesota, licensed to see pediatrics through geriatrics
• BLS Certification

Experience

Position open to new graduates. Relevant work experience in one of the following areas helpful:

• Family Medicine
• Emergency Medicine
• Walk-In Clinic/Urgent Care
